Doug had to be on call this weekend, so we didn't go anywhere far. But on Monday we took a quick trip to Dinosaur National Monument and went on a short hike and had a picnic. We only walked maybe 30 minutes and that was pushing Tyler to keep going. I always wonder where all their energy goes that they had minutes ago, but now that they are hiking their feet hurt and they're tired, and can they have a piggy-back ride please . . .
So anyway, we had a fun picnic and got to be real friendly with the local wildlife, chipmunks and bluejays. They were running beneath our picnic table and waiting so close to us to find any crumbs. Chris had fun chasing them, trying to touch one.
The rest of the weekend was filled with normal stuff, trying to keep the house together and clean.
