Almost 8 weeks old

The girls went with me to the Dr. for my 6 week check up, they were very good to sleep through it all.

I went and showed off the girls to the NICU nurses.  They were so excited to see us and said that the girls looked great.  This is Erika, Marsha, and Vicky.

Visitors

One of my good friends from Vernal came to visit us this week.  The Roberts were coming back from a family trip to Nauvoo and they stopped by to see us.  It was great to see them and have some fun.  The girls make us not very mobile, but the kids had fun playing in the back yard and the next morning we ventured on a walk to the park.  This was the first time in the stroller for the girls.  We made it, oxygen tanks and all.  Thanks for coming to see us - we're always excited to have visitors.

The boys are all very cute with Jenna and Kaylee when they are awake.  They play "this little piggy" and tickle them.  Chris likes to kiss the tops of their heads.  They all had fun lying down next to them this day - I have kids of all shapes and sizes!

Nursery

So I finally get to have a real nursery.  With the boys the crib was usually in with the computer.  So it was fun to put the girls' room together and make it look cute.  I still might add some things, but we at least got up the blankets and pictures.  I made their name signs from the diaper stackers that came with the bedding.  I just cut the fabric off and wrapped it around cardboard to spell their names, I think it turned out cute.  I'm grateful for my nice recliner, thanks Doug.  I spend a lot of time in it. :) We found the changing table at the big sale here they had awhile ago (used stuff) but I'm grateful we got it, makes it easier to change them and nicer for my back.  So now you can all picture me taking care of our girls here in this room.

Our own water park

We got an inflatable pool and strategically placed it at the bottom of our slide.  Instant fun!  Tyler loves it the most, Damon is more of a wimp, just because it's cold.  Chris had the most surprised face the first time he went down - a little nervous.  He wouldn't go down again that day, but he went down some more when Doug was with them.  Doug even went down as an example for Damon - go figure.

fun even with clothes on - we went through 3 outfits one day!

The girls at home

We gave them their first bath in the kitchen on June 3, we had done some other baths in their room earlier.

Happy Birthday Damon

Damon turned 7 years old on May 30th.  It was another low key birthday, but he still had a fun day.  He got a nerf gun like Tyler did, the Anakin Naboo Starfighter Lego set, some Harry Potter books (they have both gotten into Harry Potter now - the Star Wars thing lasted one year, now onto the next).  He also received a Star Wars figure, and some clothes.  Grandma Datwyler gave him a Harry Potter Lego set, which he really liked, but Tyler had bought the same one with his birthday money.  So we took the set back and combined that money with the money from Grandma Petersen and he bought a Harry Potter Wii game.  The boys have had a lot of fun with it.

This was supposed to look like the Forbidden Forest, pretzel trees and some flying broomsticks.
