Itty Bitty Ball
We signed Damon and Tyler up for Itty Bitty Ball that was put on through our Recreation Center. There were 8 sessions over the course of 4 weeks, learning 4 different sports: T-ball, Tennis, Basketball, and Soccer. They liked basketball and soccer the most. Tyler is still more athletic than Damon, but they both had a good time. It was a good learning experience.

Family Photos
Doug's sister Karen took some pictures of us a couple of weeks ago. We got our CD this week and loved the results. Now I need some help picking out a few. Damon and Tyler were pretty easy, since there was really only one of each of them that looked good (due to their lack of cooperation). But help me with Christopher's and the family shots.
These are all done with a faded look that I like, I have the bright ones too, but I thought it was fun to have something different.

Happy Anniversary
Well, it's been 9 wonderful years that Doug and I have been together. We celebrated our Anniversary on Monday August 9th. I fixed a nice dinner, but we'll still go out on a date sometime this month to celebrate. On the saturday before I was going to go and find Doug something to give him, but he ended up going with the boys - so I told him to find himself a present. I was pleasantly surprised to see what he picked:
Damon has started to like Legos, and Doug said that he's always wanted a bigger set, so it was a great present. The boys had a lot of fun (Doug included) putting it together.

Doug asked me what I wanted and I told him the typical: flowers and chocolates. The Ghiradeli with the raspberry centers were the best :).

Big Tub Bath
Christopher is 7 months now! I haven't had him officially weighed recently, but I'd guess around 21 pounds. He is such a happy boy, I am so grateful that he is such a good baby. He sits so well and plays with his toys. Damon and Tyler like to say hi to him and make funny faces at him. I'm grateful for all of my boys, but Chris is special right now since he doesn't say 'no' to me or whine, at least not yet :)
This was Chris's first bath in the big tub - he liked having room to splash. He also sucked on the wash cloth the whole time.
OH, did I blog that Chris has his first tooth? Well he does, the bottom left. It poked through the last week of July - now we'll just wait for the right one to join it.
Josie's Cabin
Last Saturday July 31 we went with some family into Dinosaur National Monument and had a picnic at Josie's Cabin and went on a small hike up Box Canyon. It was just the right length for the boys. They started to complain a bit, but they did just fine. It was a hot day, so we were glad most of the hike was in the shade. Tyler kept saying he was nervous when we got into the canyon and the walls were closer together. (maybe he thought the walls were going to close in on him?)
Chris fell asleep on the way.
Then he woke up.
My cute hikers.

We went and got a slushy at Sonic in the afternoon while Doug went on a Mountain Bike ride. Then Doug took Damon and Tyler to the Demolition Derby in the evening - I stayed home and finished cleaning and watched the Lightning Thief.
We had a fun and tiring day. Tyler slept in until 8:15 the next morning; I had to wake him up to get ready for church (he usually wakes up between 6 and 6:30).

County Fair 2010
Last week was the Uintah County Fair and we had a fun morning enjoying the festivities. At the front they had some race cars and the boys had to sit in every one.
The boys' favorite thing this year was the Little Red Barn. The kids get to go through the different areas and pretend to be farmers.
After you get an apron and basket you:
Plant a seed and harvest a vegetable:
Next gather some corn:
Drive your tractor to bale your hay:
Stack your hay bale:
Then feed the cow your corn and milk it:
Next gather your egg:
Harvest your fruit:
Then they take their produce to the market to 'sell' it, then go to the store and buy themselves a treat with the money they earned. Both of the boys chose juice.
Chris had fun too.
We went with our good friends Maggie, Olivia, and Logan.
We also made sock puppets.
And we went fishing!
A very fun-filled day at the fair.
