Doug took the day off on Wednesday as well so we could go to the zoo. We hadn't been yet and the boys were all excited, I was too. It was the perfect trip. We decided to wait until after lunch to go - so it would be warmer, and it was great. Not to hot, but the sun came out and was just right. A lot of the animals were being active and it wasn't very crowded. We almost missed some animals because there were no people to follow to "go see what they were seeing." The kids were all great. Chris walked the whole way! Tyler got a bit tired and sat on the front part of the stroller at the end. The girls finally got tired enough to sleep right at the end - they didn't get a very good nap. We got a year membership and I am excited to go back. We didn't have time to see everything. So glad to live near a zoo!

By the Elephant exhibit they had some Thai things. Doug had fun reading the signs and seeing this Tuk Tuk.
The boys liked the train ride, but the one at Hogle Zoo is better.
The gorillas were very entertaining. This one charged at Tyler and startled all of us. I couldn't believe how fast he could go. The other one was eating some poo - that was very amusing for the boys. Gross!

Fun post and some good pictures. Your last comment about the gorilla and the poo made me chuckle. :)
