End of April

 Better Easter dress pictures:

I love the look of crawling in a dress.
 Our own little Batman
Kaylee has started to scoot backwards now - and get stuck occasionally.
This was a cute look for Jenna
After I changed Jenna's diaper last Thursday she rolled over and fell asleep.  I guess she was tired. :)

Odds 'n Ends

Here are a few random pictures to get up caught up:

Damon likes to pull his socks way up high - thus stretching out his socks.
 Eating:

 Cute girls in the tub:
 Cute girls with dad:
Love sleeping pictures and he lined up his cars so nicely:
 Happy Kaylee
Jenna starting crawling April 10th, she loves being mobile and discovering things:

It really snowed on April 16th - it melted in about 5 days though
Chris loves his blanket - a little too much.  We finally trimmed off all of the stringy bits.
 To infinity and beyond!

Spring Break - the Zoo!

Doug took the day off on Wednesday as well so we could go to the zoo.  We hadn't been yet and the boys were all excited, I was too.  It was the perfect trip.  We decided to wait until after lunch to go - so it would be warmer, and it was great.  Not to hot, but the sun came out and was just right.  A lot of the animals were being active and it wasn't very crowded.  We almost missed some animals because there were no people to follow to "go see what they were seeing." The kids were all great.  Chris walked the whole way! Tyler got a bit tired and sat on the front part of the stroller at the end.  The girls finally got tired enough to sleep right at the end - they didn't get a very good nap.  We got a year membership and I am excited to go back.  We didn't have time to see everything.  So glad to live near a zoo!

By the Elephant exhibit they had some Thai things.  Doug had fun reading the signs and seeing this Tuk Tuk.
The boys liked the train ride, but the one at Hogle Zoo is better.

The gorillas were very entertaining.  This one charged at Tyler and startled all of us.  I couldn't believe how fast he could go.  The other one was eating some poo - that was very amusing for the boys.  Gross!

Spring Break - Estes Park

For Spring Break we went up to Estes Park and stayed there for 2 nights.  We left Sunday afternoon and came back home Tuesday morning.  It wasn't long, but a fun little break.  We did learn that to really enjoy the area up there it is better to go in the summer.  The fun things to do weren't open for the season yet, and it was too cold to go hiking or anything.  We even woke up to snow the second morning.

We decorated this fun eggs that looked like animals and hid them around the condo.

We went for a stroll around the lake, well we didn't go far, just wanted to throw rocks in.  Then we found out that it was even more fun to throw rocks and pines cones on the frozen ice on top.  Then the boys had fun getting big sticks and breaking the ice up - boys :)  At least no one fell in.  We stopped afterwards and bought some hot chocolate mix to help us warm up.
Chris remembered this walk from the fall with Grandma and Grandpa Datwyler and kept asking where the Elk were.

Everyone was excited to go swimming, the hot tub was great and even the pool wasn't too cold, though I was the only one who went in.  It started to snow on us a bit while we were there, but everyone had a great time.  The girls were great to just chill in their car seats.

Tuesday morning we went to another visitor center and watched a short movie about the Rocky Mountain National Park.  Chris was excited to see some Elk and Big Horned Sheep in the show.  We were all hungry by the time we made it back home for lunch, but we had a fun trip and I'm sure we'll go back since it is so close to us. (1 hour away)

Easter Weekend

So this is Sunday first, the Saturday.

We were too rushed in the morning with finding baskets so we took a quick picture after church.  Happy Easter!
The boys found their Easter Baskets Sunday morning.  They were pretty low key this year.  There isn't a Deseret Book near-by and I didn't get online to order any church type present.  But they had fun with new squirt guns and bubbles and some candy.

On Saturday afternoon we had our own Easter Egg hunt.  It started to rain a bit, but was still ok to go outside.  We invited a friend of Tyler's to join us (John).  The kids all found their own numbered and color coordinated eggs.

Damon was upset that this egg sounded empty - it wasn't it just didn't rattle.

lining up the loot - Chris ate most of his right then - good thing we didn't hide too many eggs
Earlier in the morning we went to the park and enjoyed the sunshine.  We discovered a new park and it had great play areas and swings for the girls.  We had a picnic and were glad we did our own thing and didn't bother with the City or Rec Center Easter Egg hunts.

Glad we brought the hats, but the girls didn't like them so much.

 The girls had fun swinging.
