While I was at my mom's we figured out a way to record cassette tapes to a computer. So I've been taking all my old tapes and recording them onto the computer and then burning the ones I want CDs of. It's great to have that music again. It takes awhile and I have a shoe box full left to do, but it's all good.
(download a program called Audacity- it's not the best at being user friendly, use the help or email me if you want any of my tips).
