Another trip to Cache Valley over New Year's Weekend. It was a fun trip. My brother who lives in California came up, so it is always good to see them. We left Friday morning with a stop in SLC for lunch. We got settled in then after naps we went to the Fun Park. My boys love playing there and this time Christopher got into it. Last time he was tired and grumpy, but this time he was all for it. Doug had to follow him around for the first little while, then he got more comfortable and Damon and his older cousin Stefan helped him go down the slide.

Everyone got some rub burns, but overall had a great time. We had a nice dinner that Tannie helped prepare and invited Great Grandma and Grandpa Datwyler over. We did a short program with the kids all singing a Christmas song that they had learned. Tyler sang the whole song of Jingle Bells, and then Damon Tyler and I sang Baby in a Manger. We exchanged gifts and received some from mom and dad. Thanks to all. My brother Richard had us this year. He made some amazing wooden puzzles and a nativity scene. I'll have to post some pictures later. Thank you, thank you. This night the adults stayed up to play Acricola.
Saturday morning we went to Hardware Ranch to see the Elk. It was cold, we were glad we were all bundled up. Everyone did pretty well and we had a fun picnic lunch in a building by the visitor center.

I didn't take any other pictures at my parents house, but the kids just had fun playing with their cousins. They played Smuggler's Run on the Play Station, Star Wars on the Wii, Zip Track, Cars, Air Hockey, and whatever else they could think of.
Mom and dad took the kids on a little hike one afternoon, that was nice for the rest of us at home as it allowed some to take a nap.
We had more great food with every meal. My mom really prepares a lot to make great dinners and breakfasts everyday, thanks mom. We had prime rib on Saturday, and ham and potatoes on Sunday.
Saturday night the adults stayed up to play Band Hero. It really is fun to have us all 'rock out' and sing and play guitar and drums. My parents even sing along to some of the older ones that they know.
We went to church and had lunch, then Marcus and his family left (Richard and his family left in the morning to make it to their church). So we had the afternoon to ourselves. We helped mom take down the Christmas decorations and straighten the house.
We left Monday morning with a stop in Kaysville to visit my good friend from high school, Taryn and Brian Ward. They also have 3 boys, just slightly younger than ours. The kids all had a fun time playing and then it was home to Vernal. Now it is back to school and the normal routine.
It was a great break - thanks to all for sharing your home, family, food, and time to make it possible.
